December 6th Grooming Report

How Cool Is That!

Looks like the snow fairies are going to favor us this weekend with some substantial snowfall on the way.  The current National Weather Service forecast calls for 11.9 inches of snow by Monday morning which is just what we need to get our trails close to full winter conditions.  As of 10:30 Trail Creek is sitting under cloudy skies with a gentle breeze and a temperature of -3ºC/27ºF.

The first Wyoming High School Nordic meet of the year begins at noon today in Casper.  The diagram at the bottom of this post shows the Wyoming High School and Intermountain Division Nordic schedules for the rest of the season.  If you would like to watch today’s race, Casper Mountain has a couple of live webcams you can check out here.

Today’s grooming was once again with the Ginzu groomer, buffing all skate lanes that haze been set so far this season.  While it is definitely early season conditions with quite a bit of stuff showing through, you should have no problem finding plenty of skiable trails to get a good workout today.  Hopefully soon things will look like the image below.

Groomer’s choice for today is Armins.
