December 4th Grooming Report--Silent Day in the Woods!

December 4th Grooming Report

Silent Day in the Woods!

While some people might hear a song in the gently falling snow flakes, most would note that the air full of frozen crystals creates a silence in the woods that is quite special on days like today, as another round of snow is currently embracing the trails of Trail Creek.  The current forecast is calling for around 7 inches by Monday evening as things just get deeper and deeper.

With the snow on the way, grooming while a bit on the brief side today, did manage to cover most every trail.  The Husky was the grooming tool du jour with a mixture of skate only in some sections and fresh classic tracks being placed where needed.   The Close Field did receive a couple of passes.

The teams will be back training hard this week for lots of racing next weekend.  The IMD racers will be off to Sun Valley to participate in the Supertour, while high school racers will be racing in Laramie.

Groomer’s choice for today is to enjoy the silence in the woods on a great Nordic ski.
