December 20th Grooming Report--It’s Trying!

December 20th Grooming Report

It’s Trying!

If you look really closely in the image above you can actually see a few snowflakes falling, the first in some time.  The forecast has become friendlier as well with scattered snow showers for the rest of the week and then a three inch forecast between Saturday morning and Sunday evening.

In spite of the recent dearth of snow, some morning skiers have been finding some pretty nice skiing.  Current temps in the upper 20’s allowed for the Ginzu knives to easily shave the snow surface, keeping our hard working base skiing for yet another day.  Multiple passes happened on the close field, Armin’s, and Moose Loop with pretty much every other recently groomed trail receiving a single Ginzu pass.

As mentioned previously, watch out for hazards, carefully pick your route, and you can have a great ski.  Of hazardous note, an ice flow has developed at the top of Suicide; it doesn’t go very far but do be careful; check it out, it’s pretty cool!

Groomer’s choice for today is either the Close Field or Armin’s.
