Roslyn Cordell

Hi! I was born and raised in Chattanooga,Tennessee. I moved to Jackson right after graduating college in May of 2018. Originally, I was drawn to Jackson for the summers to hike and fly fish. Since then I have done a lot less fly fishing and worked for Jackson Hole White Water the last 6 summers. In the winter I also work at Osteria.

Sport Specific Background, Experience, and Roles:

My first winter in Jackson I really only had experience snowboarding the smaller mountains outside of my college town in Western North Carolina. I worked for JHMR 4 winters teaching snowboarding in the hopes to learn from the best so I could have a solid base knowledge and skill set for riding. Overall, I love teaching and I love snowboarding and am so excited to be combining the two again.

Education, Professional Degrees, and Certifications:

- Bachelors Degree: Communications

- Minor: Anthropology

- AASI Level 1

- USSS Snowboard 100

Personal Philosophy or Statement:

My philosophy with teaching is that we learn to really love the sport, which I find is the biggest drive to achieve our goals. I feel that creating a safe environment where we can learn new skills while having fun cultivates success in snowboarding.
