Morgan McGlashon

Backcountry Coach

Morgan is a lifelong Teton resident and JHSC alumni. Amidst a childhood of racing on Snow King with the club, she discovered the steep trees and big rocks of JHMR and the Tetons. Her love of skiing grew beyond gates and she took a stint competing on the World Freeski tour before becoming a full-time backcountry skier and mountain guide. Though her love of mountains started on skis, it has grown to include all mediums and seasons including summer alpine and rock climbing.

Morgan has completed ski mountaineering descents, alpine climbs, and human powered adventures in places such as the Tetons, Alps, Andes, Cascades, Wind River Range, Alaska Range, Japan, and Iceland and she is the youngest female to ski the Grand Teton. She is an AMGA certified ski guide, AAA avalanche course instructor, and avalanche forecaster. She loves sharing her time in the mountains with others and hopes to instill confidence and competence in anyone who wishes to be there.
