Blake Votilla

Blake is an AMGA Certified Ski Guide and the founder of the JHSC Backcountry Program. Blake was raised on the east coast in Lancaster, Pennsylvania, far from the big mountains and deep snow that we know in the Tetons. He moved to Montana in 2010 to attend the University of Montana. During his time in college, Blake ran the UM Backcountry Club. This was the start of his guiding career. Blake worked guiding backcountry skiing and climbing in the Bitterroot Mountains of Montana, Mt. Rainier, and Denali in Alaska. Since he moved out West, skiing has been a focus of Blake's winters: he has spent multiple seasons exploring and guiding the Alps in France, Switzerland, and Italy. Currently, Blake runs the Backcountry Program at JHSC and works for Exum Mountain Guides in the winter.
