Alison (Ali) Sehnert was born in Omaha, Nebraska, but moved to Adak Island, in the Aleutian chain of Alaska, at the age of four. There her parents instilled a strong sense of adventure and determination in her sister, brother, and herself. Her family was on Adak for six years before moving to Fairbanks, AK, where she fell in love with Nordic skiing. That love of skiing allowed her to train, race and travel across the US and ultimately landed her a spot on University of Colorado Boulder Ski Team. There she double majored in Kinesiology & Fine Arts. After graduation, she moved to Sun Valley, ID, where she worked as the Assistant Nordic Director & Coach for the Sun Valley Ski Education Foundation. From there she moved to Jackson to become the JHSC Nordic Program Director. After nine years in that role, she and her husband, Sam, decided it was time to start a family. They now have two wild boys, Seppi and Stanley, and a pup, Goose. When away from the JHSC, you can find her running, skiing, biking, camping, rafting and generally trying to tire out her boys!
