Future plans: Middlebury College

Ava says, "What JHSC has taught me over the years is how important teamwork and building relationships with teammates & coaches is, commitment, grit, communication, and always to have fun no matter what. I have fostered some of my greatest knowledge from JHSC programs, specifically the Backcountry Program, around snow/avalanche education that I will forever be grateful for."  Backcountry Program Director Blake Votilla says about Ava, "It has been rewarding for us as coaches to watch Ava progress in the Backcountry Program over the last three years. Ava is a role model for the Backcountry Program: we can always count on her to be on time, present, and a great teammate. Her commitment has paid off with some big accomplishments both in the mountains, and at competitive events. We look forward to watching Ava continue the lifelong journey of backcountry skiing for years to come."
