River grew up skiing at Suicide Six—now Saskadena Six—in Pomfret, Vermont. He developed his passion for racing as both an athlete and eventual captain of the Brookline High School Alpine Ski Team. River attended Colgate University, where he competed in the USCSA Mideast Conference for several years while completing his undergraduate degree.Now in his second year with the Ski Club, River is excited to step into the role of Head Coach, reconnecting with many of the same athletes from last season and welcoming new ones to the team.
