  1. June Recap:

During June, Freeride’s Summer camps started off for the season!

Woodward Copper:

For those who don’t know, Woodward is a world-class training facility located at Copper Mountain, CO. They’ve got best in class skate, trampoline, ramp, and on-snow facilities. All of which set the kids up for a week of fun and learning lots of new skills on snow. Their private terrain park is small to medium sized, and great for quick laps and progression for all ages.

Max Reber with a fresh pair of Icelantic skis he won at camp!

This year we sent 5 athletes, and Head Competition Coach, Matt Newton.

“Our first summer camp of the year was a great success. It was an awesome week at Woodward Copper with beautiful weather and fun skiing. There was a lot of progression and new tricks from all the boys, including Max Reber doing his first flair in the quarter pipe jam and winning the jam (and a pair of skis!). Off-snow the kids spent plenty of time skateboarding and jumping on trampolines at the barn, plus a busy schedule of summer camp activities. Overall, it was another great week of camp at Copper.”

Skate Camp Volume 1:

We’re excited to have wrapped up our first camp of the season! Camp Coordinator and Coach Toby Koekkoek took campers to the Driggs, as well as the Alpine skateparks to check out some new parks for the kids.

Coach Toby powering through the afternoon session.

Each day we wrap up with an afternoon session at the Jackson Park. These camps are a great opportunity for beginners to learn the basics, and for advanced kids to dial in new skills. If you’re interested in signing up, check out the schedule and availability below!
