October Alpine Newsletter
The Alpine Program is starting to ramp up! We have had FIS & U16 working out all
spring/summer/fall with U14 & U12 teams getting underway this month! We have one more
month of dryland before the FIS, U16 & U14 groups head off to their pre-season on snow
camps! JHSC also has two big fundraising events coming up with the ski swap at the end of
October and the new date for the Ski Ball early December! We already had snow on the peaks a
few days ago so its time to start getting ready for the winter season!
Internal Gear Swap & Rep Fit Night
Thank you all for attending both gear nights we hosted! The ski reps were very happy with the
crowd we brought this year! Thank you coaches for being present to answer any questions
athletes had on gear! Big thank you to all and I hope everyone came away with the necessary
gear they need for the season ahead!
WR RTG Chile Project : Jaden D’Amours
JHSC U16 Athlete Jaden D’Amours is currently attending a GS/SG focused camp with the
Western Region in Vall’e Nevada, Chile! He is amongst the top U16/FIS athletes in our region
who were selected to attend! The conditions have made for very productive sessions with cool
temps and firm snow! We are proud to have Jaden representing Jackson Hole Ski & Snowboard
Club and the Western Region!
U16 Dryland
The rest of the U16 Team has been hard at work doing dryland 5 days a week with Head Coach
Ned! They have been doing intervals up Snow King, yoga in the lodge room with Laura Paul or
Nikki Sue Mueller (thank you), gymnastics at Axis, agility on the game field and strength
workouts in the gym! Thank you to the Pruzan’s for taking the whole team paddleboarding
down the Snake River a week ago! It was a beautiful fall day and everyone had an amazing
time!
November Panorama Camp
Registration is now open for our Fall Panorama Camp! Our U14 and U16 Teams will be working on
basic fundamentals and training Slalom and Giant Slalom! Both teams will depart together on
Friday November 10 and drive back Sunday November 19.
Price : $1850
Includes : Coaching, Transportation, Training Lanes, Tickets, Food and Lodging
