Intro:
We have had a busy February and we are heading straight into March real quick! We are so grateful for the snow we have received this month, and our athletes are taking advantage of the great conditions.
For our team, we are starting to wind down on competition season. But this last week of February has been a stacked one for us! We have a crew going down to the Snowbird IFSA 3*, a crew at Targhee for Northern Regional Championships, and last week we had our local Snowking IFSA 2*! A busy weekend for the team and we are hoping for some great finishes.
February Recap
We kicked off February with our local IFSA junior 3* at JHMR. This was our first junior 3* event ever and we even held a dual panel of judges with a huge field of athletes! Our event team did such a great job and the event ran so smoothly. Our very own Alex Crenshaw brought home 1st place in U15 Snowboard men, Nico Santelices brought home 2nd place for U19 ski men, and we had some other fantastic finishes from our other athletes as well.
We had a crew head to Targhee as well for another USASA event where we also came home with some great finishes. We just returned from Snowbird for the IFSA 3* and came home with some strong skiing and good finishes. Noah Hilke came home with a 3rd place finish in the U15 Snowboard Men, and Nico Santelices came home with 8th in a stacked U19 Ski Men field. The level of skiing we saw at this event was on another level and we are so proud of all of our athletes in a very competitive event.

March Events
Upcoming for March we have a crew heading to Whistler for the IFSA 3* event March 11-16! We hope we can get some solid runs down to hopefully get more of us heading to IFSA Junior Freeride Championships. We also have a crew heading to USASA Nationals in Copper at the end of March heading into April. This winter has absolutely flown by! I can’t believe we are in our last month of our usual training. I hope we can make the most of it and have some fun for this last month of regular training. Way to push through the tough conditions, the resilience of this team has inspired all of us at the club and hope you are all looking forward to epic crescendo to the season.
