1) Intro:

It’s Spooky season! I hope everybody is enjoying the tail end of fall, the dropping temperatures, and the snow now capping the mountains surrounding the valley. Lifts begin spinning in less than a month! Make sure your gear is dialed in and ready to go for the upcoming season.

2) October Recap:

During October, our Competition and Progression Plus teams have been hard at work getting strong and ready for their first day on snow! We’ve been super impressed with the hard work put in by those attending our dryland training. The work put in now will make for a much more productive and safe season!

Comp team takes a break on a Ferrins trail run!

Comp team athlete Jack Kilmain with a backflip mute for JP!

Axis training has also been going great with lots of new tricks near ready for snow. Thanks to Jess with Axis gymnastics for getting us space in the gym!

JHSC Ski Swap

Thanks to all who came together to make this season’s ski swap a smashing success. This community oriented event does so much to bring people together, and help making skiing accessible to ALL. Thanks to all Freeride staff and parents who worked shifts and volunteered for the event. Special thanks to our leadership and events crew, particularly Jesse Knori, who did an incredible job putting everything together!

3) IFSA/USASA (Competition) Memberships:

For those interested in competing this season, both USASA and IFSA memberships are ready to go! If you’ll be competing this season, it’s time to purchase these.

A: Any athlete interested in competing this season in the respective disciplines of USASA/IFSA.

A: Yes, these are mandatory for all athletes based in the region.

Q: When can I register for competitions?
