Well-Being Program Update

This program is off and running! We have had three speakers so far to kick off our mental performance for our U16 & FIS athletes!

Ryan Burke - Performance Under Pressure: Tips and tricks for mental fitness

Physical fitness is needed in order to perform well, but mental fitness is necessary to excel. This guided group discussion will be an overview of the neurobiology of elite athletes, a deeper look into the brain science of what helps things go well and what causes them to spiral out of control. Overall, we will examine the coping skills, bio-hacks, and simple exercises needed to become a calmer and more balanced athlete.

Lexie Drechsel MacPhie, DPT about optimizing physical performance, injury prevention, and physical recovery.

Barbara Ann Cochran gave an excellent talk, teaching us the importance of a growth mindset and how to foster a helpful inner climate for the start gate

Up Next Kirsten Cooper: This workshop is designed to help athletes master essential mental skills, focusing on the benefits of daily training, strategic pressure application to boost performance, and overcoming motivation and confidence challenges through actions aligned with your core values. Discover practical techniques to enhance both mental and physical resilience, empowering you to achieve your best consistently.

Volunteers

As many of you know, depending on what program your athlete is in, families have a certain amount of work deposit hours to complete. Working as a volunteer at the races we host at our home mountains is an excellent way to do that. There are a variety of volunteer positions we need filled to run a race efficiently! Honestly, without volunteers like yourselves we would not be able to host successful events! Thank you!

Above I have listed all the races we will be hosting at Snow King and Jackson Hole Mountain Resort that we will need volunteers for this season! Jesse Knori will send an email in the coming months to register for volunteer shifts, but I wanted to get our calendar of events and races on your radar! Bold races where volunteers will be needed!
