Connor grew up in Lodi, California, the same town where CCR got stuck. He began alpine skiing at the same time he learned to walk. His transition to Nordic skiing did not come until he moved to Maine to attend Bowdoin College, where he taught beginner Nordic lessons, among numerous other outdoor pursuits. Upon graduating, Connor spent a number of years in outdoor education. In Jackson, in addition to his work with JHSC, he guides whitewater kayaking trips, teaches wilderness medicine courses, and is supervisor of the Snow King Ski School. Outside of work, he enjoys cooking, and running with his dog, Pepper.
