This program introduces 2nd graders to winter sports in a fun, safe environment. Through a partnership with the Snow King Resort, Jackson Hole Mountain Resort, Jackson Hole Ski and Snowboard Club and Teton County School District, kids who have never experienced skiing will have the opportunity.
The experience will include two sessions at Jackson Hole Mountain Resort and four sessions at Snow King Resort. Instruction, lift tickets, gear, transportation and lunches are included. Upon completion of the program, participants will have access to the beginner terrain at Jackson Hole Mountain Resort and Snow King Resort for the remainder of the season.
Eligibility:
This program is only open to Jackson 2nd graders who have never skied.
Sessions:
Jackson Hole Mountain Resort: Saturday, January 26 & Saturday February 9.
Kids should be dropped off at the Snow King Center at 9am and picked up at 4pm. Transportation to and from JHMR will be provided by Snow King.
Snow King Resort: Wednesdays & Fridays, January 30 and February 1, 6 & 8.
Kids will ride the activity bus one way to Snow King on Wednesdays and Fridays. Ski equipment will be stored at Snow King. Child pick up is at 5:30pm sharp at Snow King.
**2nd graders not attending Davey Jackson Elementary School will have to provide their own transportation to Snow King**
Registration:
There will be a program sign up date at Jackson Elementary Tuesday January 8th from 3:30-5:30pm.
There are only 40 spaces available, first come, first served.
